.....but i thought it was probably time to update with some randomness of course!


- I start my secondment on Monday and I am both excited and petrified at the same time lol Its in the same department so at least thats something, similar sort of work to what i do now (just more things to do lol)....and i've met the pathologist's that ill be secretary to for the next however many months and theyre both really nice!  Ill be glad once ive found my feet and know what the hell im doing!! Ive only got the next two days for any more training before im on my own eeeeeeep! 
- Im going to see the BACKSTREET BOYS in November YAY!!!!
- NCIS and Numb3rs are back at the end of the month YAY stuff to watch again!!
- David Cook is still awesome (his single Light On is now platinum yay!!) 
- Joe Flanigan is also awesome ... and i miss SGA...ok so season 5 was mostly crap apart from a few but id still have watched season 6...for shep and team....wouldve skipped keller eps of course!!!
- I cant believe its September already!!

I saw the new star trek movie last night and I LOVED IT!! Awesome film!!  Had everything in it..hot men, whump, action, gun battles, humour etc! I hope they make a sequel! 

Going on holiday to Kos - Greece in july for a week....5 star hotel all inclusive.....very squee!! :)

Cant believe its the american idol finale next week....seems like only 5 mins since i was watching last year, hoping that David Cook was going to win and being oh so happy when he won!!  Not been watching it this season but i do want kris to win over adam....still guess i wont care either way as no-one ever compares to cookie anyway!! Cant wait to see him perform on the finale!!

Running out of shows to watch actually....last numb3rs and last ncis coming..chuck finished a few weeks ago....whatever am i gonna watch over the summer!!

Im back!!!! woooo...never thought i'd be so happy to see Oxford lol It was looking a little dodgy there for a while but after several cancelled and delayed trains i made it!!

Well I went away for the weekend to London...but im still here at my mates... because there are no buses, underground or normal trains running back to Oxford...boooo i wanna go home!!!

Its a good job im booked off work until thursday cos id be even more screwed!!

Granted I did have fun playing in the snow and its been ...forever since i saw snow that thick...but now the novelty has worn off, its cold and slippery and i just wanna get back home now...ive got stuff i wanted to do on my days off!!!!!!

Britain really does come to a stop when there is snow...and you would think from the amount of people buying stuff in the shops earlier that the end of the world was coming!!!!!

In my RL...some random stuff......

- Got asked out on a date by a guy at work....unfortunately not by anyone i actually fancied or felt anything towards and had to say no..but its still nice to be asked hehe
- Work is good (other than trying to avoid the guy who i turned down lol), getting to do more typing and spending more time in the lab...plus there is a new hot junior doctor there (that makes 3 guys i fancy there haha) 
- Looking forward to seeing my mates from uni at the end of the month, seeing a friend in february who i havent seen since graduation and just generally making more of an effort to meet up and do stuff with mates which should be good..we want to go to centre parcs again and maybe go abroad somewhere..would love to go to Germany and see if i can rememeber much from school German :D!!  
- Going to see BRITNEY SPEARS in June!!

Hey!

I promised Josie last week that I would update my LJ just to let people know im still alive lol.  I've not been up to much...just going to work of course, nearly 3 months at my job now...its better now that im also in the lab a couple of mornings each week (even got my own lab coat heh) and finally doing more typing...even though i wish some doctors were a lot clearer when recording and spelt out the more difficult medical terms!!  Still its pretty interesting stuff even if i do have to type about biopsies on gross things or if im in the lab witness them cutting up all kinds of gross things!! I even have to go into the morgue for old reports...apparently you do occasionally get them going by with a dead body...which freaks me out!!  Luckily you dont have to go in there too often and thats only really if you have the misfortune of getting a phone call requesting them!   Its funny because the Queen and prince philip are visiting the hosptial in a couple of weeks...yet i doubt somehow theyll be coming anywhere near my department...i dont blame them lol!

I havent really been up to much..my life is fairly uneventful lol.  Going xmas shopping next weekend....i hate it but its gotta be done, or started at least lol

I cant wait for David Cook's new album next week, ive already heard the full album and its seriously amazing...i totally recommend that people go listen and buy it....one song called permenant about his brother with cancer, made me get a lil tearful!!  I have much squee for this album.  :D 

SGA- Well if youve read my comments to kodiakbear's post on remnants, you will know that i dont really like that show anymore...im not gonna rant about it because i did in my last entry and the same things still stand!  Its just such a shame that its gone so down hill and poor shep has been left with fuck all to do.  I really do hope that Joe goes onto a show where tptb appreciate his talents.  Ive loved SR and i enjoyed last weeks ep and the last 10mins of the Seed, but really everything else has just been MEH!

Speaking of SGA...... I do miss the friends that i made on GW from being in the fandom but i just have no squee anymore for that show, and i'd hate to be one of those anti people that i so hated hanging around the forum and being negative all the time...you know that saying if you dont have anything nice to say...lol.  I just hope i dont loose touch with everyone on the shep whump thread who i made friends with, even though im not a big SGA fan anymore...because we went through a lot together on that thread and i really did enjoy my time there when i was a huge fan...from laughing about ginger cake to 101 ways to whump sheppy lists!    

My new fav shows are numb3rs (though i do wish they whumped Don more, sure they give him plenty of angst, but hey i want blood lol), Chuck (its just really funny) and i still like NCIS although if it continues to be all about bloody gibbs i may have to give up on that soon too...plus i want some good stuff for Tony...and some whump lol (yes im a whumpwhore i cant help it!).

Well im now an Oxford resident, moved up last weekend and i've just finished my my first week at work...going well so far...phew!!    

So SGA was cancelled..-no spoilers-..everyone has said their bit by now, and no one probably cares by now what i think but.....i wasnt surprised..despite being pissed off at the way they went about cancelling it and feeling like there was a season 6 in there, im relieved in a way, Joe flanigan might actually go on a show where they appreciate his talent, i wont have to put up with any more of tptbs manipulation, the mckay love fest, the keller love fest, the mckay/keller love fest, the love triangle, the lead getting shafted time and again- not even getting an episode until 19 and one thats not exactly a deep emotional piece from the spoilers ive read..the eps from season 5 i havent really enjoyed except search and rescue and the last 10 mins of the seed (really did not get the love for other eps, espesh GITM and Shrine), and the spoilers ive read leave me dreading more episodes than squeeing about them...hell i dont even have any squee anymore, that went to David cook a long time ago and hasnt returned to my SGA life.  Dont get me wrong i still love shep a lot, and it wouldve been enough to keep me watching if it had been renewed (and i loved the TEAM-missing again this year), but quite frankly being a fan of this show often felt more like a chore..because there was so much potential (ATA gene! City of Atlantis! Sheppard!) and tptb wasted it.  I loved the show too much, i wish i couldve walked away many times, but despite the many problems i had with it, most of the episodes were enjoyable at least in the early years and shep/joe was awesome. 

I almost wish there wasnt a movie so i could make a clean break, but ill watch it of course.  As for SGU i certainly wont be watching...i didnt care about the franchise.....i did love SG1 and SGA..but i liked them as individual shows, i dont give a crap about the franchise and the new show, which was the reason they dumped SGA-like that isnt enough of an excuse to not watch it, but it also sounds like CRAP! Its a shame cos i love scifi, but..as BLUEALIEN said on GW, i dont want to get invested in another stargate show to be disappointed by the whim of the tptb.  plus it really doesnt sound like anything new, knowing these tptb theyll just start ripping off their own stories when they get stuck, and cross over mckay and daniel- probably keller too, because we know they only like to write for the favourites!! Hence another reason why there is some disappointment at the cancellation because we had 5 years of shep and we barely even scratched the surface of the character, but that relief comes in again because sheppard was never going to be developed to the mckay-extent and joe can go and try some more challenging roles.  !  

so im a bit disappointed there wil be no more SGA, but also relieved.  I have no idea what the hell im gonna watch now though...there are a few programmes i still watch like ncis, csi, chuck....but theres no excitement that i used to feel with sga.   BOO!!

well i wasnt going to say much on that matter and ended up ranting....oh well!

Im so glad David Cook happened this year...considering i dont even normally watch american idol, it mustve been fate....i got into the show (and by show i mean him lol) just as my love for sga was falling somewhat...and my squee for him grows each day with every new thing i hear about him...i wish it was november already so i could get his new album!  Still now there is no american idol and the tour will soon be over, i wont get much cookie......with sga you had 20 new eps to look forward to every year....but with a musician its different...its strange for me i dont normally get so invested in a real person...i just hope there will be lots of cookie crumbs to enjoy once the album promotion happens....i still cant get over the fact hes working with rob cavallo, producer of all the green day albums...love it!!

Ok thats it....i always end up briefly mentioning my RL and then going on about TV hehe.

So ive got a room in Oxford now, and im moving this time next week...eeeep!! Start work on the 26th..it'll be crazy, and im scared/excited about moving away but its definately time...I love Torquay but there is no work down here and no life!! Eurghh gonna have to pack soon as well!!

TV wise.....SGA...the last ep was crap, really boring, i dont get the squee over it, i really dont....sure shep/joe was good as ever, love me some angst for that boy, but the ep itself was ..yeh boring! not looking forward to next weeks either...or any coming up soon really..in fact a lot of spoilers leave me feeling more MEH....i miss the squee days when there would be some eps id be so excited about seeing id loose sleep over it!!  

Some of my other programmes are back next month, like NCIS and im not even excited about that either...that show isnt as good as it once was, plus i get pissed that Tony only seems to be treated for comic relief lately and we learn shite loads about gibbs but no one else...and by no one else i mean tony of course lol. 

At least I do have David Cook to squee over...i cant wait for his album...November cant come soon enough....written/co written by him.....and produced by the guy who does all the Green Day albums (one of my ultimate bands!) and My Chemical Romance isnt too bad heh.

Its been a long time coming!! im so happy right now...im sure ill be complaining when im back to getting up early and stuff but right now i dont care woohoo!!

Im going to be a clerical officer/typist for the John Radcliffe NHS hospital in Oxford.....so now i just need to find somewhere to live!! yayyy!!!

here i thought nothing to top the squee of 2 straightforward whumpy eps of SGA haha.......the only thing that could top my happiness would be to see david cook in concert.....heh!! 

Well i was going to do a big post but after attempting and pretty much failing to catch up with a load of sites and being completely knackered from getting up very early ...i cant really be arsed to ramble too much lol 

Just thought i'd say hello though!!  Had a fab time in Canada....Vancouver was ace (so was bridge studios haha...ahem!) and so was the rest of Canada that we saw...had much fun!!! 

Getting ready to move up to Oxford too.....had enough of looking for work in Torquay that doesnt exist.....so im moving up there...signed up to a couple of agencies....and i already had an interview even though the job was shite so i didnt take it hah...and might have another interview already next week..................so job hunting and of course looking for somewhere to live.....oh fun hahaha....but i think it will be worth it in the end.  

OH and that was a nice surprise to come back too...finding that the atlantis ep search and rescue had been leaked........downloaded, watched and LOVED!!!!!! SQUEEE!!!!!! Again cant be arsed with lots of detail right now but man that was a good ep...need to watch it a few more times though of course, havent watched it nearly enough!!! seriously though was that fanfic come to life or what?!

Glad that i didnt miss too much cookie news too....loving his acoustic version of Time of my life.....that song has been changed up a lot by him since the finale last month.....clever boy though.....keeps ya interested and shows how talented he is...and why he won...hahahaha!!  

errrrrmmmmmmm thats all i can think to put right now.....still rambled a bit but that generally a trend in my random LJ posts!!
